Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan 2015 for UK announced Applications are invited from Indian nationals either on line through www.mhrd.gov.in or on plain paper in the given format for nominations from India for the award of Commonwealth Scholarships anf Fellowship Plan in United Kingdom tenable from September / October 2015 for higher studies / research / specialized training in the subjects mentioned below in the United Kingdom Up to Sixty five (65) nominations are to be sent to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for final selection to be made by them Out of these not more than twenty six (26) are for doctoral studies Study: Scholarships are provided in the field of Engineering and Technology Science (Pure and Applied) Agriculture and Humanities and Social Sciences at UK Universities

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility: The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age as on 10th October 2014 and fulfill the minimum qualifications as per Para (IV) below Level of Course: These scholarships will be awarded for studies leading to either: 6 months clinical training/research/specialisation (for MBBS, BDS, MS, MD degree holders only) include: Cancer research, Cardiology (including cardiac surgery), Gynaecology Medicine, Dentistry, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Ear, Nose and Throat i) 1 Year Taught Masters Courses or Equivalent Degree ii) Doctoral Degree of upto 3-years duration Engineering & Technology: Electronics/Electrical, Environmental Studies, Remote Sensing Technology, Com. Engg, Biotechnology or Biochemical Engg, Robotics, Computer Applications/Computer Science 8. Aerospace Engg./Aeronautics, Civil Engg, Material Science, Mining Engg and Marine Engineering Science (Pure & Applied): Mathematics, Molecular Biology, Physics and Chemistry (including Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry) Agriculture: Agronomy & Forestry Humanities & Social Sciences: History, Sociology, Management Studies, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Law, English (Literature/Linguistics) and Political Science with International Relations Minimum Qualifications: The candidates must have completed tertiary education in English Medium;

For Masters Degree One should hold or able to produce the certificate of Bachelors Degree by October, 2015 in the subject field concerned (indicated above) securing 60% or above marks in Humanities and Social Science group and 65% or above marks in Medical, Engg and Technology, Science and Agriculture Group Candidate should give one page academic justification for pursuing the course in U.K. *Candidates who wish to undertake postgraduate study in Business/ Management Studies should have taken the Graduate Management Admission Test (Princeton Test) before applying for the Commonwealth Scholarship.
